Bonney drives through and clinches with Gates against the cage.
Bonney tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gates just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bonney prevents the takedown attempt.
Gates takes an elbow to the temple.

Bonney ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bonney no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Bonney escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gates gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bonney had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gates is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bonney Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gates's back instead.
Well, with Bonney on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Gates is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
