PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between gustaff bahula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, gustaff bahula!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, TJ Tyler!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyler takes the fight into the clinch.
bahula looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
bahula tries to pull guard but Tyler won't allow it.

Tyler breaks the clinch.
Tyler lands with a kick to the ribs.
Tyler fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Tyler shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tyler showed some decent athleticism there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tyler takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
bahula wants to get back to full guard.
Tyler looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks bahula with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tyler content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Let's hope that Tyler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tyler seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Tyler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tyler postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. bahula looks a forlorn figure.

bahula tries to hold on but Tyler pushes him away.

Tyler can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as bahula is looking to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tyler cracks bahula with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tyler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. bahula can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Tyler has control of bahula's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and bahula regains control of the situation pretty easily.

bahula has left one of his arms exposed and Tyler doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. bahula screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
