The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerreiro shoots for a takedown but Hussein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hussein avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Guerreiro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hussein paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hussein goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Guerreiro has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hussein but great work by Guerreiro.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Hussein counters with a shoot takedown. Guerreiro fights it but they end up in guard.

Guerreiro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hussein can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hussein closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hussein lands in his opponent's guard.

Hussein gets to his feet. Guerreiro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Guerreiro just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hussein's brow.

Guerreiro is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hussein is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Guerreiro to the mat. Guerreiro regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Hussein drops back, looking for a kneebar! Guerreiro looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Guerreiro looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Guerreiro!
What's Hussein going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
