PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Vikstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Anderson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vikstrom scores with a takedown into Anderson's guard.

Vikstrom wants to pass the guard but Anderson is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Anderson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vikstrom sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Vikstrom is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Vikstrom swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Anderson is now in Vikstrom's guard. A big mistake from Vikstrom there, giving up the dominant position!
Vikstrom is breathing heavily.

Anderson wants to control from the top but Vikstrom keeps moving.
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vikstrom swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vikstrom closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Anderson did well to prevent Vikstrom getting side control.

Vikstrom is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Anderson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Vikstrom bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Vikstrom goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Anderson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Vikstrom's guard! Nice work there by Anderson!

Anderson is pushing down on Vikstrom's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vikstrom is fighting to maintain full guard but Anderson has managed to sneak the leg through.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Will Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vikstrom shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vikstrom was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Anderson tries to improve his position but Vikstrom has taken his back! Vikstrom has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Anderson tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Vikstrom pushes Anderson away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
