Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sinhjo Babalu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Lee!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babalu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Babalu dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lee. That did some damage!
Babalu throws a head kick that misses.
Babalu has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lee finds it's way round the side to connect with Babalu's head.
Babalu moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Babalu lands a high kick to the side of Lee's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Babalu dives into guard, looking to finish.
Lee is rocked!
Lee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Babalu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lee is still in real trouble! Can Babalu finish him?
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Babalu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Babalu loads up on a big left hand. Lee felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Babalu looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Lee can't hide his disappointment, as Babalu celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sinhjo Babalu!
