Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antoni Lim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Alvez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ricardo Alvez enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Antoni Lim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricardo Alvez!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lim throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Alvez misses with a takedown attempt - Lim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lim connects with a looping right hand.
Lim misses with a hook. Alvez ducked under it nicely.
Lim fails to land with a series of punches.
Lim scores with a three punch combo!

Alvez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alvez on the ground.
Lim holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lim tries to get to full guard but Alvez has control of the leg.
Alvez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Alvez is taking a breather. Lim says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lim keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alvez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lim is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Alvez jumps into side control!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Alvez tries for a kimura but Lim is defending well.
Alvez throws a strike aimed at the side of Lim's head but Lim avoids it well.
Alvez is looking to take a break and control but Lim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lim is looking for a sweep.

Lim tries to buck Alvez off but Alvez is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alvez circles away quickly and effectively.

Alvez looks for a takedown but Lim sprawls well.

Alvez moves forwards but Lim connects with a nice, crisp jab.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Alvez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lim closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Alvez slips a jab and a cross from Lim.
Lim misses the shot to the body.
Lim misses with a straight right.
Lim looks to land a right hand but Alvez moved out of range.
Alvez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Alvez shoots in for a takedown but Lim shows good takedown defense.
No joy there for Lim, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alvez shoots for a takedown but Lim saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Alvez clinches up with Lim and pushes him back against the cage.
Lim tries to circle away but Alvez has him pinned against the cage.
Alvez has Lim pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lim manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lim scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alvez is defended easily by Lim.
Lim looks to land a right hand but Alvez moved out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Antoni Lim showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lim, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
