The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hubert moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Buckner looks to land a combination. Hubert sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Cliff Hubert has been cut.
Buckner tries to clinch up.
Buckner misses with a two punch combination.
Buckner fails to land with a series of punches.
Buckner lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hubert keeps the fight on the outside.
Hubert feints and as Buckner raises his hands in defense, Hubert changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hubert is looking to work some ground and pound but Buckner has wrist control.

Buckner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hubert stops Buckner from standing up.
Hubert cracks Buckner with a solid left hand.

Buckner striking off his back, scoring a few points.
Buckner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hubert. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Buckner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Buckner ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hubert is breathing heavily.
Nice straight punches there by Buckner. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Buckner.
A jab-cross combination lands for Buckner and sends Hubert crashing to the mat! Buckner follows him down to the mat - Hubert regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Hubert is rocked!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Buckner escapes and gets back to his feet.
Matheus Buckner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buckner connects with the punch.
Buckner circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Hubert to the canvas! Hubert doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Buckner keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
