Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butter Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kris Kringle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Butter Bean!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kringle scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on Bean's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bean parries the strikes from Kringle easily there. Kringle is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bean to escape.
Bean is looking to regain half guard here but Kringle keeps moving and retains side control.

Kringle stands up.

Kringle darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bean missing with punches from the bottom.
Bean is trying to stand.
Kringle is looking to take a break and control but Bean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kringle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bean's guard.

Bean should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Bean shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bean was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kris Kringle will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Bean gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kringle to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kringle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bean has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kringle has managed to get both his arms back between Bean's legs - danger averted.
Kringleis looking to pass into half guard but Bean pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bean is in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kringle is working an open guard so Bean takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Butter Bean showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Bean shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kringle's guard.

Kringle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bean will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kris Kringle.
I think Kringle has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
