PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Das Boot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kyle machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boot's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, You Dont Know - 50 Cent. kyle machine struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
machine tries to clinch but Boot moves out of range.
Boot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but machine circles away quickly and effectively.
machine doesn't manage to clinch there - Boot circles away.
machine misses with a double jab
and Boot counters with a one-two to the body.
machine tries to clinch but Boot moves away
and Boot counters with a lovely shot to the body.
machine on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Boot. Boot obviously looking to wear him down.

Boot forces machine back against the ropes and clinches.
machine fails to pull the fight into his guard.
machine tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boot smiles and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boot wants to get up but he can't break machine's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Boot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. machine swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

machine has his foot on Boot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boot works his way back into a safe position though.
machine will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Boot trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Boot drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and machine dives on top into guard.

machine throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boot works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Boot is trying to control the position but machine postures up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as machine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
machine thows a big elbow that misses.
Boot wants to stand but machine is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
machine falls off balance throwing a combination

and Boot counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Boot in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

machine looking for subs off his back but Boot has passed one foot through into half guard.

machine looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Boot is looking for a kimura but machine is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Boot to get the leverage.

Boot is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Boot looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

machine closes the distance looking to clinch
and Boot counters with a nice body kick.
machine throws a series of punches but Boot moves out of range.
Boot tries to bum rush machine with a series of wild strikes but machine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Boot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

machine isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Boot stacks machine on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Boot!
