Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Hammett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Invandra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hammett might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For Whom The Bell Tolls. Joe Invandra has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kirk Hammett's chin.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Invandra, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hammett shoots in for a takedown but Invandra shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hammett throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Invandra sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Invandra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hammett avoids a punch combination nicely.
Invandra is looking to clinch but Hammett is avoiding it.
Invandra gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hammett counters with a takedown into side control.
Invandra looks gassed!
Invandra is trying to escape the position but Hammett is controlling the position.

Hammett tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Hammett thows a huge punch but Invandra dodges it nicely.
Hammett looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Hammett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Invandra keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hammett is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Invandra has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hammett has control of Invandra's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Invandra regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Invandra has left one of his arms exposed and Hammett doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Invandra screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
