Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Fatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Fatu takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Eddie Fatu has been cut.
Fatu scores with a takedown into Gonzalez's guard.

Gonzalez wants to sweep but no luck.
Gonzalez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gonzalez prevents Fatu from improving his position.

Gonzalez is taking a breather. Fatu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Fatu tries to roll over but Gonzalez keeps him under control.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Fatu is trying to get back to full guard.
Fatu is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Gonzalez stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Fatu to get to his feet.
Gonzalez scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Fatu tries for a takedown but Gonzalez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Nice takedown defense from Gonzalez. No joy for Fatu on that attempt.

Fatu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gonzalez drops Fatu with a beautiful combination! Fatu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gonzalez is looking for the KO!
Fatu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The cut above Eddie Fatu's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Gonzalez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gonzalez scores with a hook to the body. Fatu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Gonzalez digs a good body shot into Fatu's ribs.
Gonzalez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fatu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Gonzalez looks to land a combination. Fatu sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Fatu is rocked!
Eddie Fatu's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Eddie Fatu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). George Gonzalez!
