The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makaay scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Makaay keeps the fight on the outside.
Makaay looks to land a right hand but Man moved out of range.
Steven Makaay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makaay throws a nice looking combination but Man bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Man misses with a leg kick.
Man uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Makaay misses with a jab, cross combination.
Man throws a leg kick but Makaay sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Man throws a quick inside leg kick.
Man throws a series of punches but Makaay moves out of range.
Man fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Makaay on the side of the head.
Man tries to clinch up but Makaay circles away and keeps his distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Man counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Man.
Oh Man is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Makaay tries to strike from the bottom.
Man thows a big elbow that misses.
Man seems to have got his legs back now.
Man slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Makaay looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Makaay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Man can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Makaay looks gassed!
Man sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Makaay throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Man escapes and throws Makaay's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Makaay on the ground.
Man decides to stand back up. Man steps back and let's Makaay get back to his feet.
Man tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Makaay swivels and escapes.
Man thuds a left hand into Makaay's body.
Man thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Makaay if he has to take too many more of those.
Nice sprawl there from Makaay as Man shoots in.
Man fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Makaay, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Man is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Makaay gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duff Man. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Makaay wants to break the clinch but can't.
Makaay breaks from the clinch.
Makaay checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Makaay misses with a straight right.
Makaay lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Makaay.
Man fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Makaay is out of range.
Makaay throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Man colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Makaay as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Man is left battered and dazed whilst Makaay and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steven Makaay!
