Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armenian Samoan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Tate has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Armenian Samoan!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samoan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tate scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kevin Tate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Samoan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Tate throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Samoan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
