Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Fingers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers comes to the cage accompanied by Fuel. Pete Fingers had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pete Fingers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Parker!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fingers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Parker to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fingers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Parker is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fingers wants to stand and escape but Parker is having none of it.
Parker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fingers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Parker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Parker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Parker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fingers being controlled for a moment.

Despite being in the dominant position, Peter Parker just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Fingers drives through and clinches with Parker against the cage.
Parker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fingers gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fingers misses with the head strike.
Fingers working hard to break the clinch.
Fingers lands a hook to the side of the head.
Parker can't get the takedown.

Fingers is trying to force a seperation but Parker has the dominant position.
Fingers lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Fingers works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Fingers looks for the body kick but Parker saw that one coming.

Fingers misses with a head kick.
Fingers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parker circles away quickly and effectively.

The fight stays on the outside here - Fingers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Peter Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Parker.
Parker is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Fingers's shoulder. That is not cool.
Fingers wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Parker takes a little break here. Fingers wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Fingers wants to get back to his feet.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
I looks like Parker might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Fingers is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Parker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Parker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fingers sprawls well. Fingers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Parker gets slowly back to his feet.
Fingers swats away the attempt to clinch by Parker.

and Parker counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Parker controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Parker is breathing heavily.
Let's hope that Parker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Despite being in the dominant position, Peter Parker just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Parker.
Pete Fingers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Parker.

Fingers throws a right and a left that both miss.

No joy there for Fingers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Parker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fingers's waist but Fingers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parker off to one side.

Fingers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Parker controls the pace.
Fingers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Parker is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Parker chips away with some ground and pound.
Parker is stalling in the full guard.
Parker passes Fingers's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Peter Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Parker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Parker shoots for a double leg takedown but Fingers sprawls well. He's pushed Parker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fingers lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Parker at a distance.
Fingers lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Fingers doesn't manage to clinch there - Parker circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Parker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Parker lands in his opponent's guard.
Pete Fingers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Peter Parker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fingers wants to get back to his feet but Parker is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
