Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from La Fleur both land. Nice combination.
Rio slips a jab and a cross from La Fleur.
La Fleur looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rio throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and La Fleur counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rio crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from La Fleur - the referee stops the clock and Rio gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says La Fleur. Rio manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
La Fleur throws a leg kick which misses Rio's front leg but catches the back leg as Rio tries to avoid it.
Peter La Fleur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rio fails with an attempt to clinch.
A chopping leg kick lands by La Fleur.

Rio tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Rio is looking to take a break and control but La Fleur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
La Fleur is looking for a sweep.
La Fleur really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
La Fleur misses with the combination.

Rio has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
La Fleur punishes Rio's body with a nice straight punch.
La Fleur scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rio takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
La Fleur is working the combinations to good effect here.

La Fleur throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rio.
A solid leg kick lands there for La Fleur.
La Fleur misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
La Fleur lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
La Fleur lands a big head kick that sends Rio to the canvas! La Fleur follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
