The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luzhin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A left lands for Luzhin.
Gomez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gomez slips a jab and a cross from Luzhin.
Luzhin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nikolai Luzhin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luzhin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gomez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Luzhin throws a left that rocks Gomez and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Luzhin dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Gomez regain composure!

It looks like Antonio Gomez has been cut.
Gomez is breathing heavily.

Luzhin is trying to get an arm triangle but Gomez is defending well.
Luzhin tries to move to mount but Gomez blocks the move with his legs.
Gomez is trying to get back to half guard.
Gomez is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Luzhin off and has taken his back!
Luzhin manages to reverse the position and now he's in Gomez's guard. Nice work there by Luzhin.

Luzhin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Luzhin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gomez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Luzhin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gomez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Luzhin's back instead.
Gomez doesn't have the hooks in and Luzhin manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Luzhin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gomez sprawling to the canvas! Gomez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Luzhin finish him?!

Gomez is rocked!
Luzhin feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Gomez crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
