Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jace Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Wright's head and hops out.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.

Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Wright will be more careful next time no doubt.

Wright has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wright goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jones is on top in guard.

Wright is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.
Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wright on the ground.

Wright has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jones should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Wright has tightened it up now! Jones should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
