The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tulirinta turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Tulirinta throws a series of strikes that have Pete backpedaling.

It looks like Happy Pete has been cut.
Tulirinta tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pete swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pete fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Tulirinta creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Pete's defenses.
Tulirinta pushes Pete back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Tulirinta fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pete, pushing him back against the cage.

Tulirinta has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pete clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
What can Pete do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Tulirinta is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Tulirinta gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Tulirinta gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Tulirinta apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Tulirinta is looking to clinch but Pete is avoiding it.
Pete chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tulirinta can pounce on him.
Tulirinta tries to close the distance and clinch but Pete swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pete takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Tulirinta throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Tulirinta escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tulirinta looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pete closes the distance and clinches up with Tulirinta, looking for a takedown. Pete pushes Tulirinta against the cage but Tulirinta circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tulirinta clinches up with Pete and pushes him back against the cage.
Tulirinta lands an uppercut.
Tulirinta unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pete lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Tulirinta works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
