Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bengt Andre Eikaas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Eikaas might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jedi Mind Tricks - On The Eve Of War. Evans has chosen Big Punisher- Off Wit' His Head as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bengt Andre Eikaas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rashad Evans!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eikaas looks to land a combination but Evans avoids it well.
Nice sprawl there from Eikaas as Evans shoots in.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Evans.
Evans closes the distance and clinches up with Eikaas, looking for a takedown. Evans pushes Eikaas against the cage but Eikaas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bengt Andre Eikaas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rashad Evans.

Evans tries to keep at a distance but Eikaas has taken the fight into the clinch.

Eikaas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Evans's guard.
Evans wants to stand and escape but Eikaas is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Eikaas works Evans's body with a nice hook.

Eikaas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Eikaas lands a big shot there that rocks Evans but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Eikaas cracks Evans with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Eikaas fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Evans tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Eikaas has control of Evans's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Evans regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Eikaas lands a big shot there that rocks Evans but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Eikaas jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Evans manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Evans manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Eikaas tries to roll over but Evans keeps him under control.

Evans throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Evans is thwarting Eikaas's attempts to control the position.
Eikaas moves into full guard.
Evans chips away with some ground and pound.

Eikaas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Eikaas wants to sweep here but Evans controlling him for the moment.
Eikaas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Eikaas throws a nice inside leg kick.
Eikaas lands a head kick. Evans smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Rashad Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Eikaas darts in and clinches Evans up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Evans with a lazy takedown attempt

so Eikaas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Eikaas landing with the ground and pound.
Eikaas wants to control from the top but Evans keeps moving.
Eikaas is really struggling to control Evans but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Evans trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Evans throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Eikaas content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Eikaas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Evans will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Eikaas crunches a lovely knee into Evans's ribcage.
Evans is working for takedown but Eikaas is calmly controlling the position for now.

Bengt Andre Eikaas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Evans scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Evans must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Evans is fighting to break Eikaas's control of his arms but Eikaas is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Evans is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Eikaas has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Evans is looking to defend but Eikaas has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Evans! Eikaas pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Evans taps out and this one is all over!
