Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Store (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kris Marsh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexander Store!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Marsh!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Store will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Store misses with a takedown attempt - Marsh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Marsh fails in his attempt to clinch.

Store takes the fight into the clinch.
Store looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Store taking a breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Store tries to stall but Marsh uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Store is pressed up against the cage. Marsh has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Store down to the mat. Store avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Marsh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Store's half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Store regains full guard. Nicely done.
Store really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Store swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marsh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marsh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marsh controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Marsh won't allow Store to sweep him here.
Marsh's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Store looking for a guillotine here but Marsh defends easily.

Marsh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marsh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Store wants to get back to his feet but Marsh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Marsh drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marsh passes Store's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Marsh is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Store trying to control from the bottom.
Store is breathing heavily.
Marsh uses his free foot to push down on Store's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Store.
Store is looking to get to half guard.
Store is working hard here to advance position.

Marsh has control of Store's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Store regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Store is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Marsh wants to finish this one by submission but Store is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Marsh.
Poor strikes thrown by Marsh there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Marsh looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Marsh content just to control the position here.
Store has given up his back here. Will Marsh look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Marsh really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Store.

Marsh working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Store is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Marsh has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Store taps out!
