Steel's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Its a Fight. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Julius Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Overmars!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overmars takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Steel lands a with a good body shot.
Julius Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Overmars has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Overmars closes the distance and clinches.
Steel tries to circle away but Overmars has him pinned against the cage.

Overmars gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Steel regains guard.
Overmars trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Overmars wants to stand but Steel is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steel managing to control the position.
Steel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Overmars is one step ahead there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Steel keeping moving, preventing Overmars from controlling successfully.
Steel wants to get back to his feet but Overmars is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steel seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Overmars wants to stand but Steel has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Steel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Overmars is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Julius Steel dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Steel connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


It looks like Charles Overmars has been cut.
Steel tests Overmars's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Steel leaves Overmars with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Steel scores with a nice strike.
Steel punishes Overmars's body with a nice straight punch.
Nice uppercut there from Steel.
Steel lands a nice shot that snaps Overmars's head back.
Steel throws out a powerful jab.
Steel connects with a body shot.
Steel closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Overmars needs to keep his hands up - Steel had a free shot at his head there.

Steel works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Steel thuds a left hand into Overmars's body.
A punch lands to the side of Overmars 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Overmars has a takedown stuffed.
Steel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The crowd cheers as Steel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Overmars doesn't seem phased though.
Julius Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Overmars, right into the meat.
Steel tries to bum rush Overmars with a series of wild strikes but Overmars uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Steel moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


Overmars is rocked!
Steel throws a right and a left that Overmars avoids nicely.
Steel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Overmars's head backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steel throws a series of strikes that have Overmars backpedaling.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steel smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Overmars is still on wobbly legs! Can Steel finish him?
The fighters circle momentarily. Steel darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Good standup being displayed there by Steel as he connects with a hook.
Steel throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Overmars seems to have recovered his senses.
A shot to de liver by Steel. Beautiful body shot.
Steel uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Overmars has time to react.
Steel throws a series of strikes that have Overmars backpedaling.
Overmars is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Overmars.
Julius Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Overmars.
Steel cracks Overmars with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Steel lands a slapping body shot.
Steel lands with a straight right. Overmars didn't see that one coming.
Steel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Overmars's hands.

Overmars takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Steel lands a left and a right that send Overmars crashing to the mat, dazed. Steel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Steel scores with a nice right hand.
Steel connects with a right hand. Overmars shakes it off.
Steel ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Steel works the jab nicely.
Steel lands a jab to the head.


That has opened up Charles Overmars's cut even more.
Steel is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Steel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Steel lands a left and a right that send Overmars crashing to the mat, dazed. Steel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Julius Steel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
No luck for Overmars with that takedown attempt.

Steel drops Overmars with a naaaaasty hook - Overmars is in real trouble here! Steel dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julius Steel!
