The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geroldo M bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lavigne's head backwards.

Lavigne feints and as Geroldo M raises his hands in defense, Lavigne changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lavigne drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lavigne jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lavigne had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Geroldo M is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lavigne Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Geroldo M's back instead.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lavigne is on top in guard.
