Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Apachai Hopachai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Apachai Hopachai has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Apachai Hopachai!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Martin!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopachai uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Martin.
Hopachai ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hopachai walks into a jab.
Hopachai takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hopachai blocks a head kick by Martin.
Martin sizes up Hopachai with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Martin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hopachai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Martin throws a head kick but Hopachai moves out of range.
Martin jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Martin tries for a takedown but Hopachai sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Martin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hopachai sprawls well. Hopachai wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Martin gets slowly back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Martin lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hopachai down.
Martin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hopachai sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hopachai is trying to get back to half guard.
Martin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hopachai some visible discomfort.
Hopachai tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Martin grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Hopachai takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Martin cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
