The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez tries to clinch but Kane is having none of it.

Fernandez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kane to the mat! Kane manages to get full guard.

Kane had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fernandez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kane Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fernandez's back instead.

You can see the frustration on Fernandez's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Fernandez manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kane's guard. Nice work there by Fernandez.

Fernandez is posturing up here but Kane has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Fernandez tries to roll out but it's too tight and Fernandez has to tap! Slick submission there by Kane!
