PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brosif Stalin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Stalin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Stalin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Aoki stands up and waves to Stalin to follow him.
Aoki tries for a takedown but Stalin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stalin is looking to clinch but Aoki is avoiding it.

Aoki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stalin's guard.

Stalin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aoki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Stalin wants to stand but Aoki is controlling the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A big right from Stalin misses.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stalin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Aoki is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Stalin is trying to escape and Aoki transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Stalin is forced to tap! Nice work there by Aoki! Very nice indeed!
