Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyoji Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Ol Krooner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Ol Krooner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krooner avoids the body shot from Black.
Black misses with a hook.

Krooner is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Black gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Krooner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Krooner has had enough of the clinch but Black keeps him there for the moment.

Black keeps control of Krooner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Black throws a jab but it's blocked by Krooner.
Black tries to clinch up but Krooner circles away and keeps his distance.

and Black counters with a slapping leg kick.
Krooner throws a series of punches but Black moves out of range.
Black tries for a takedown but Krooner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Black is breathing heavily.
Black darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Krooner lunges at Black with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Black's hand.
Black looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyoji Black. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Krooner tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Black counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Black.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krooner wants to get back to his feet but Black is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Black seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Krooner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Black. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Black misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Krooner.
Krooner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Black counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Krooner wants to sweep but Black has passed to side control!
Black prevents Krooner from escaping the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Krooner wants to get back to his feet but Black drags him back down.

Black decides to stand back up. Black steps back and let's Krooner get back to his feet.

Black shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Krooner's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Black decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Krooner, up you get!
Sam Ol Krooner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Krooner works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Black here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
