Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Brown has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stephan Mack!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mack shoots in and bounces Brown off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mack won't allow Brown to sweep him here.
Mack missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brown is on top in guard.
Mack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mack doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mack striking off his back but it's not causing Brown any problems.
Brown wants to stand but Mack has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Brown passes Mack's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mack shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brown manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Brown looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Stephan Mack dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Mack feints and as Brown raises his hands in defense, Mack changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brown is trying to control the position but Mack postures up.
Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mack cracks Brown with a solid left hand.
Mack works over Brown with some ground and pound from guard.
Mack with a flurry of punches that miss.

Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Brown wriggles free and stands up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Brown not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Brown lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mack is looking to improve his position but Brown isn't that keen on the idea.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mack can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mack rolls, trying to escape but Brown keeps control of the position.

Stephan Mack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Mack misses with the combination.
Brown throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Mack closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brown wants to control but Mack postures up.

Brown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mack doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brown.

Mack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Brown does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Mack misses the shot to the body.
Mack tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Stephan Mack is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Mack slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Brown trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Mack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mack might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brown kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Brown has his foot on Mack's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mack works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mack tries to bum rush Brown with a series of wild strikes but Brown uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Brown is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mack.
Mack throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease.

Mack closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brown did well to prevent Mack getting side control.
Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mack looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Michael Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I've got Mack winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
