Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris Strelok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Boris Strelok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Matthew Cannon!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strelok throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cannon's waist but Cannon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Strelok off to one side.
Cannon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Cannon moves into the clinch.

Cannon manages to break the clinch.
Strelok swats away the attempt to clinch by Cannon.
Cannon misses with a jab, cross combination.

Cannon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Strelok to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Strelok is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cannon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cannon has escaped and now he's on top!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cannon tries to stand but Strelok is controlling from the bottom.
Strelok wants to sweep but no luck.
Cannon wanted to stand there but Strelok had control of the position.
Strelok bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cannon's guard.
Cannon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strelok. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cannon explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Cannon slaps away a takedown attempt from Strelok, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Matthew Cannon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cannon throws a right hand that Strelok ducks under and follows up with a left that Strelok also avoids with ease.
Cannon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cannon throws a series of punches but Strelok avoids them all with ease.

Cannon closes the distance and pushes Strelok back into the cage.

Strelok tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cannon swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Strelok tries to bum rush Cannon with a series of wild strikes but Cannon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cannon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Strelok closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Strelok will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Strelok seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cannon for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cannon's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No joy there for Cannon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Strelok misses with a head kick.
Cannon falls off balance throwing a combination

and Strelok counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Strelok throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Strelok is trying to work for a kimura but Cannon is defending well.
Cannon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Strelok is pressing down on Cannon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cannon is holding on for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Strelok stops Cannon from getting back to his feet.
Strelok passes to full mount!

Strelok moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cannon has worked his arm free - good work by Cannon!

Matthew Cannon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Boris Strelok overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Strelok goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cannon turns into him and now he's in Strelok's guard.
Cannon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Strelok shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cannon is trying to defend but Strelok finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Strelok moves into full mount! Cannon won't be happy about that!

Boris Strelok showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Strelok, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
