Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Boom might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fedor Entrance Song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Martinez sprawls well initially but Boom persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boom seems to be looking for submissions.
Boom stops Martinez from getting back to his feet.

Boom is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Martinez defends it well.

Boom wants to work for an arm triangle but Martinez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Martinez is trying to stand up here but Boom is controlling him well.
Martinez tries to get to full guard but Boom has control of the leg.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boom drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boom jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Martinez wants to clinch up but Boom keeps it at a distance.

Boom shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Boom was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Martinez wants to try and get back to his feet.

Boom looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
You get the feeling that Martinez really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Boom blocks Martinez's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Martinez flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Boom wants to take Martinez's back but he can't do it this time.
Martinez wants to try and get back to his feet.
