The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Parts blocks the leg kick.
Rock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rock misses with a wild body shot.
Rock closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parts circles away.

Parts fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rock sprawls well initially but Parts persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Parts scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Rock is trying to get back to full guard.
Parts frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rock is in a horrible position here. Parts smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Parts is landing with some decent strikes but Rock is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Parts lands a big elbow.
Rock is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Rock takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Parts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Parts lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rock hang on?
Rock flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Parts is in the full mount, landing strikes.
A big strike lands for Parts! That's really hurt Rock and he's turned his back - Parts keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Parts Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
