The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pansie moves into the clinch successfully.
Pansie tries to land knees in the clinch but Petrov avoids the damage to the body.
Petrov swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Petrov gets underhooks to prevent Pansie's takedown attempt.
Petrov swings wildly with an uppercut but Pansie uses good head movement to avoid it.

Pansie gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Petrov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pansie.
Petrov is trying to stand up here but Pansie is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pansie thows a huge punch but Petrov dodges it nicely.
Petrov wants to get back to his feet.
Petrov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Petrov tries to get out of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pansie scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Pansie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Petrov wants to get back to his feet.

Petrov pushes Pansie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pansie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pansie is trying to get an arm triangle but Petrov is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pansie cracks the inside of Petrov's front leg.
Pansie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Terrance Pansie has been cut.

Pansie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Petrov avoids it really well and circles away.

Simon Petrov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Petrov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Pansie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Petrov as he jumps to the side.
Simon Petrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terrance Pansie.
Pansie closes the distance and clinches up with Petrov, looking for a takedown. Pansie pushes Petrov against the cage but Petrov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Petrov!
Pansie drops his hands momentarily and Petrov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Pansie is rocked!
Petrov connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Pansie to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Petrov!
