Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between rocky boxxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and heavy weight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). weight has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, rocky boxxer!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, heavy weight!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
weight shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has boxxer pinned against the cage. boxxer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
weight looks gassed!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
boxxer prevents the takedown attempt.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from boxxer.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
boxxer manages to break the clinch.
weight throws a hook to the side of boxxer's head but boxxer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
boxxer tests weight's chin there with a solid looking shot.
boxxer gets in close and instigates a clinch.
boxxer tries to score a body lock takedown but weight shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
boxxer decides to pull guard.
boxxer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
weight stops boxxer from standing up.
boxxer looking for a sweep. Not yet boxxer, not yet.
boxxer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
boxxer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Well, if boxxer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
boxxer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but weight does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
boxxer content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
boxxer passes to full mount!
weight tries to hold on but boxxer pushes him away.
boxxer cracks weight with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
boxxer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

boxxer working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. weight looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by boxxer! Submission of the night perhaps?
