PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between TunTon Lim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butter Mean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, TunTon Lim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Butter Mean!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mean ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A swing and a miss from Lim.
Mean avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lim defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mean.
Lim stuns Mean with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Mean looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lim avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mean.

Mean decides to stand and escape the position.
Lim ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A jab from Lim does it's job there.
Lim missing with a left hand there. Mean was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Lim lands a left and a right that send Mean crashing to the mat, dazed. Lim thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Butter Mean has been cut.
Lim could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mean looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lim throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mean stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mean shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lim as he avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mean slips a jab and a cross from Lim.
Lim cracks Mean with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mean tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Lim pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mean is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). TunTon Lim!
