The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson blocks a low kick nicely.
Pawlowski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pawlowski connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Johnson's hands.

It looks like Tom Johnson has been cut.

Johnson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pawlowski is now in Johnson's guard. A big mistake from Johnson there, giving up the dominant position!

Pawlowski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pawlowski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pawlowski pushes Johnson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Johnson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pawlowski manages to get himself to full guard.

Pawlowski rolls, trying to escape but Johnson keeps control of the position.

Johnson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Pawlowski knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Pawlowski for a finish.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Pawlowski tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it.
Pawlowski stuffs the takedown.
Johnson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Johnson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pawlowski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Johnson but great work by Pawlowski.

Johnson dives in and grabs Pawlowski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pawlowski pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out.

Pawlowski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pawlowski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pawlowski decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Pawlowski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Johnson pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Johnson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Pawlowski is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
