Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jouichirou Daisuke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daisuke comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet For My Valentine - Waking The Demon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jouichirou Daisuke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikolai Putin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin misses with a few strikes there.
Daisuke lands a slapping body shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Daisuke fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Putin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Putin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Daisuke fails with an attempt to clinch.
Daisuke avoids the body shot from Putin.
Daisuke wants to clinch up but Putin keeps it at a distance.

Daisuke closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Putin is looking for a sweep.

Daisuke stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Daisuke swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Putin counters with a body kick that stops Daisuke in his tracks momentarily.

Daisuke drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Daisuke wants to stand but Putin has his arm trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Putin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Daisuke wants to get back to his feet.
Putin tries to roll over but Daisuke keeps him under control.

Daisuke wants to stand but Putin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Daisuke shoots in for a takedown but Putin shows good takedown defense.
Daisuke doesn't manage to clinch there - Putin circles away.
Putin misses with an attempted mid kick.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Daisuke defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Putin.
Putin avoids the head kick by Daisuke.
Daisuke keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Daisuke blocks a head kick by Putin.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Daisuke thows a body shot but no joy.
Daisuke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Putin moves away.

That's time! Daisuke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Putin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Daisuke swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Daisuke stuns Putin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Daisuke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Putin manages to avoid it.
Daisuke moves in looking to clinch but Putin pushes him off.
Daisuke is looking to wear down Putin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daisuke digs a good hook to Putin's body.
Daisuke scores with a jab to the jaw.
Daisuke takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Daisuke shoots in but Putin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Putin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Putin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Daisuke!
Daisuke wants to get back to his feet.

Putin is working for a guillotine from mount but Daisuke frees his head quite easily.
Putin throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daisuke is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Putin thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Putin fails to take his opponent's back.
Daisuke really wants to buck Putin off and get back to his feet.

Putin is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Daisuke has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Putin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Daisuke can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Daisuke's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Putin scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Daisuke?

Putin is going olschool here, as he tries to force Daisuke to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Daisuke shrugs it off.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Putin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Putin moves to the back position.

Putin seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Daisuke's chin but Daisuke turns very nicely into Putin's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Daisuke.
Putin is breathing heavily.
Daisuke is looking to stand up but Putin won't let him.
Daisuke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Putin pushes a forearm under Daisuke's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Daisuke is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
