Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Komatsu Akiaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakurai comes to the cage accompanied by number girl syndrome. Akiaki has chosen Enter the Dragon as his entrance music. Komatsu Akiaki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiaki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sakurai circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck for Sakurai with that takedown attempt.

It looks like Komatsu Akiaki has been cut.
Akiaki tries to close the distance and clinch but Sakurai swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Akiaki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sakurai keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Akiaki's head.

Akiaki isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sakurai stacks Akiaki on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sakurai !

Sakurai tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sakurai has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Akiaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sakurai . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Akiaki's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Akiaki has left one of his arms exposed and Sakurai doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Akiaki screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
