Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Lindsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lindsey has chosen Californication - RHCP as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Banks!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Lindsey!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindsey fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Banks misses with a two punch combination.
Banks fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lindsey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lindsey shoots for a takedown but Banks saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lindsey closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lindsey tries for a takedown but Banks manages to get underhooks.
Michael Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Lindsey.
Lindsey throws a knee to the head but misses.
Lindsey is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
With the fighters up against the cage, Banks throws an elbow but misses.
Banks taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Banks blocks an elbow strike.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Banks takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Banks missing with knees to the body.
Banks comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Banks stalling in the clinch but Lindsey improves position.
Lindsey fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Banks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lindsey slips a jab and a cross from Banks.
Lindsey shoots in looking for a takedown. Banks tries to sprawl out of it but Lindsey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Banks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Banks throws the kick towards the body but Lindsey avoids it.
No joy there for Banks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Banks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lindsey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lindsey is looking to clinch.
Lindsey slips a jab and a cross from Banks.
Lindsey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Banks pinned against the cage. Banks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Daniel Lindsey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lindsey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Banks defends it nicely.
Banks throws a head kick that Lindsey semi-blocks.
Lindsey misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Banks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A combination from Banks does no damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lindsey shoots in for a takedown but Banks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lindsey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Banks's waist but Banks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lindsey off to one side.
Lindsey fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lindsey looks gassed!
Lindsey takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Banks swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lindsey dives in and grabs Banks's left leg, looking for a takedown. Banks pushes down on Lindsey's head and hops out.
Lindsey dodges the punch combination from Banks.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Banks lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lindsey has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lindsey and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Michael Banks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lindsey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Banks's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Banks is on top in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Banks is sitting in close to Lindsey's body. Lindsey has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Banks is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Banks is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Lindsey.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Daniel Lindsey! Daniel Lindsey retains his light heavyweight title!
