Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julian Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Oh Lets Do it. Alvarez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by There's No Solution. Richard Alvarez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter swats away the attempt to clinch by Alvarez.
Carter tries to clinch up but Alvarez circles away and keeps his distance.

Alvarez drops Carter with a beautiful combination! Carter stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Alvarez is looking for the KO!


Carter is rocked!


It looks like Julian Carter has been cut.
Carter throws a right and a left that Alvarez avoids nicely.
Carter lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Alvarez swinging wilding here.
Alvarez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Richard Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carter swats away the attempt to clinch by Alvarez.
Alvarez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Carter on the side of the head.
Alvarez cracks Carter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alvarez tries to clinch but Carter is having none of it.

Alvarez throws a looping overhand right but Carter ducks down to avoid it.
Alvarez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Alvarez scores with a sloppy right hand. Carter should have avoided that one.

so Carter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alvarez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Alvarez wants to stand and escape but Carter is having none of it.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carter's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Carter throws and elbow that misses. Alvarez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carter's guard. Nice move by Alvarez!
Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alvarez is controlling him.

Alvarez stands up from Carter's guard - Alvarez perhaps looking for a knockout.

Alvarez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Alvarez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carter moves away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alvarez misses with an uppercut.
Alvarez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carter clobbers Alvarez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alvarez.
Alvarez cracks Carter with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Alvarez might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Alvarez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Alvarez lands with an uppercut that bounces Carter off the cage and back into rage.
Carter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Carter counters with a head kick. That will keep Alvarez thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Alvarez wants to clinch but Carter slips to the side
and Carter counters with a body kick that stops Alvarez in his tracks momentarily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
