Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kurt Wood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a head kick but Wood moves out of range.
Wood tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones blocks a head kick by Wood.
A head kick by Jones misses
and Wood counters with a series of strikes. Jones will be more careful next time no doubt.
Wood moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
A head kick from Jones lands but Wood takes it in his stride.
It looks like Kurt Wood has been cut.
Wood misses with a kick to the body.
Wood on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jones. Jones obviously looking to wear him down.
Wood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones moves into range and clinches up with Wood.
Wood drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wood tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones misses with a head kick.
Wood lands a high kick!
Wood closes the distance but Jones moves to the side
and Jones counters with a head kick that drops Wood to the mat! Wood scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wood avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Jones.
Jones lands a big head kick that sends Wood tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Wood back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wood is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones feints a jab and as Wood dips his head, Jones unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Wood right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Wood falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Jones smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Eddie Jones!
