Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Thiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chunky Munky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago comes into the arena with Drake - Forever blaring out of the sound system. Paulo Thiago has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thiago digs a good body shot into Munky's ribs.
Munky tries to clinch up.
Munky tries to close the distance and clinch but Thiago swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Paulo Thiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thiago has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Munky is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Thiago.

Munky goes for an armbar but Thiago turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Thiago.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Thiago is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Thiago got a little sloppy there for a moment and Munky has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thiago has managed to get both his arms back between Munky's legs - danger averted.

Munky is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Thiago will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Thiago keeps the fight on the outside.
Thiago shoots in for a takedown but Munky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Thiago will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Munky closes the distance and clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Munky takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Thiago tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Munky smiles and moves away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Thiago throws a nice looking combination but Munky bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Munky tries to clinch up but Thiago circles away and keeps his distance.

Thiago shoots in and bounces Munky off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Munky is looking to stand up but Thiago isn't so interested in that idea.
