Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between dante strife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
strife takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like dante strife has been cut.
strife shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.
strife on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
strife fails to land the takedown.
strife checks a leg kick.
strife avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
strife takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from strife.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but strife is just out of range.
strife scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard.
strife slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
strife trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
strife drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick strife off! strife jumps back into Johnson's guard.
strife trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Johnson wants to sweep but no luck.
strife trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
strife tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
strife is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Johnson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from strife.
Johnson throws a nice looking combination but strife bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
strife misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for dante strife. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson throws a series of punches but strife moves out of range.
strife shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Johnson is trying to defend but strife finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Johnson is not content to let strife control the position.
strife in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Johnson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from strife!
