Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Goss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Goss might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Absolute Zero: Define Neutral. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bobby Brown!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goss fails in his attempt to clinch.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Goss.

Goss with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Brown has Goss pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Goss manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Goss tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Brown prevents the takedown attempt.

enabling Brown to counter with a crisp jab.

and Brown counters with a head kick that drops Goss to the mat! Goss scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

and Brown counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Brown counters with a nice low kick that buckles Goss's knee momentarily.

Brown shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Goss napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Goss manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brown's best efforts.

Goss flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Goss wants to control but Brown is keeping busy.
Goss is trying to stand back up but Brown is controlling him
Goss is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Goss tries to hold on but Brown pushes him away.

Brown won't let Goss get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Goss is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Goss is desperately trying to improve his position but Brown has a good base and remains in mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brown perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Brown shoots in and drives through. Goss sprawls well.

Goss moves into the clinch successfully.

Goss tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brown just stands there and leans against the cage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brown is trying to maintain a safe position but Goss gets an underhook and turns Brown into the cage.

Goss escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Brown counters with a straight right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Goss moves into the clinch successfully.
Goss with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Goss gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brown.
Brown takes an elbow to the forehead.

Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.
Horrible takedown by Goss or perhaps it was just good defense by Brown which made him look bad.

Brown lands with an uppercut that bounces Goss off the cage and back into rage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Goss throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Goss is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brown can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
