The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sammo blocks a low kick nicely.
A head kick misses from Sammo.
Sammo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hood throws a shot to the body.
Hood avoids a kick to the body.
Hood fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sammo is out of range.

Sammo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hood blocks it with crossed arms.

Hood breaks the clinch.
Hood scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hood misses with a hook.
Gordon Hood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sammo is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sammo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Good leg kick by Hood there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hood slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hood shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Sammo takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Hood sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Sammo bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
