Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paolo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heywood Jablowme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jablowme has chosen hells bells as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Heywood Jablowme is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paolo Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heywood Jablowme!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jablowme shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Santos pinned against the cage. Santos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jablowme pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jablowme throws a nice looking combination but Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jablowme misses with a double jab.
Jablowme fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Santos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jablowme tries to avoid it but Santos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jablowme to the ground. Jablowme escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Santos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Paolo Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heywood Jablowme.

Santos postures up in Jablowme's guard and throws a big left but Jablowme blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Santos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Santos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jablowme dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jablowme is one step ahead there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jablowme stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Santos wants to get back to his feet but Jablowme passes into half guard.

Santos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Santos tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Santos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Santos wants to get back to his feet.

and Santos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jablowme won't be happy with that.

Santos working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Jablowme's thigh. Jablowme counters though and makes it back to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jablowme wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.
Jablowme looking to sit in guard and control but Santos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jablowme had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Santos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jablowme Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Santos's back instead.
Santos can't escape the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jablowme is not going to allow Santos to sit and survive in this position.
Santos staying busy and making it hard for Jablowme to control.

Santos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jablowme.
Santos seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Jablowme shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Santos is backing up but Jablowme catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Santos covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Jablowme Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
