Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Gore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dustin Larchik!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gore shoots in but Larchik avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gore avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gore connects with a solid leg kick.
Larchik tries to close the distance and clinch but Gore swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Larchik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gore paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gore misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gore jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Larchik walks away with a smile on his face. Gore gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Larchik feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Gore moves nicely into side control.
Larchik tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Larchik is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Larchik is not content to let Gore control the position.
Larchik is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dustin Larchik will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Larchik shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Larchik is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gore sees it coming and defends easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gore is defending against the submission attempts here by Larchik.

Larchik is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gore defends it well.

Larchik is working for a submission of some sort.
Larchik is breathing heavily.
Gore trying to hold on to Larchik's head to control him but Larchik postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gore swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Larchik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gore swats away the attempt to clinch by Larchik.
Larchik wants to clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Larchik tries to clinch but Gore moves out of range.
Gore throws a right and a left that Larchik avoids nicely.
Larchik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Larchik is looking to clinch.
Larchik wants to clinch.
Gore tries to close the distance and clinch up but Larchik swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Gore counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gore.

and Gore counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Larchik is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gore defends well.
Gore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Larchik had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gore is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Larchik Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gore's back instead.

Gore defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Larchik's arms.
Larchik doesn't have the hooks in and Gore manages to turn into his guard.

Gore got a little sloppy there for a moment and Larchik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gore has managed to get both his arms back between Larchik's legs - danger averted.

Larchik has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Larchik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gore gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gore advances to half guard.
Gore not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gore in particular looking to stall.
Larchik is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Larchik looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Albert Gore will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Larchik takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Gore has managed to clinch.

Larchik shoots for a double leg takedown but Gore sprawls well. He's pushed Larchik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Larchik bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Larchik takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gore struggling a bit here.

Larchik tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Larchik has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Larchik thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Larchik is trying to get an arm triangle but Gore is defending well.
Gore is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gore wants to control but Larchik is keeping busy.
Gore moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Larchik is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gore is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gore has escaped and now he's on top!
Larchik can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gore controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Larchik has his feet on Gore's thighs here. He's pushed Gore off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gore screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
