Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Hackney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew DaSilva!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hackney takes a kick to the side of the head.

Hackney drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ground and pound from Hackney seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
DaSilva on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Hackney has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
DaSilva is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hackney asserts his dominance and retains side control.

DaSilva tries to escape but Hackney is in control.
Hackney throwing strikes but DaSilva manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hackney scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hackney thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DaSilva's head.
DaSilva tries to kick Hackney off but Hackney keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
DaSilva scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hackney manages to mount him!

DaSilva is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hackney throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew DaSilva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Hackney decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

DaSilva is trying to stand up here but Hackney is controlling him well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hackney connects with a nice short shot to DaSilva's temple.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
DaSilva is trying to stand up here but Hackney is controlling him well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
DaSilva blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hackney.

And that's the end of the fight!
Paul Hackney showed his dominance in that final round.
