Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Micks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Reefer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reefer has chosen smoke 2 joints as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Micks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kid Reefer!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micks thows a body shot but no joy.
Micks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reefer.
Reefer lands a nice shot that snaps Micks's head back.
Reefer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Micks misses with the combination.
Reefer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Micks swivels and escapes.
Micks feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Reefer's calf.
Micks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Micks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Reefer shoots in and bounces Micks off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Reefer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Reefer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Micks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Micks is looking for a triangle but Reefer pushes his legs off easily.
Reefer tries to free his leg and advance position but Micks is retaining full guard.
Reefer trying to control the position from guard on top but Micks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Reefer chips away with some ground and pound.
Micks working a defensive guard but Reefer manages to pass into side control anyway.
Reefer is chipping away with strikes.
Micks is pushing Reefer's head away, looking to escape. Reefer manages to hold on to the position though.
Micks tries to bench press Reefer off him but Reefer keeps the position.
Micks parries the strikes from Reefer easily there. Reefer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Micks to escape.

Reefer goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Micks has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Reefer but great work by Micks.
Reefer gets back to half guard.
Reefer is staying active underneath Micks, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Micks trying to pass the guard but Reefer defending well.
Reefer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reefer wants to improve his position but Micks is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reefer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Micks sprawls well initially but Reefer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Micks tries to kick Reefer off but Reefer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Reefer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Micks manages to get to full guard.
Reefer thows a big elbow that misses.
Reefer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Reefer is fighting to break Micks's control of his arms but Micks is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Reefer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Reefer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Micks manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Reefer has Micks in his guard.
Reefer tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Micks wants to control from the top but Reefer keeps moving.
Micks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reefer is on top in guard.
Micks keeping moving, preventing Reefer from controlling successfully.

Micks pushes Reefer off and gets back to his feet.
Reefer throws a shot from downtown. Micks moves away and avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kid Reefer will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Micks thuds his right hand into Reefer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A slow jab from Micks misses its intended target.
Micks falls off balance throwing a combination
and Reefer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Reefer connects with the punch.

Reefer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Reefer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Micks is squirming around, avoiding Reefer's attempts to control the action.
Micks tries to reverse the position but Reefer maintains control.
Reefer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Micks's face.
Reefer scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Micks?

Reefer working for a submission but Micks is keeping him at bay.
Reefer throws some wild stikes that Micks manages to avoid easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reefer jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Micks manages to avoid the submission attempt.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Micks looks to land a right hand but Reefer moved out of range.
Micks tried to score with a low kick but Reefer checks it.
Micks throws a jab when Reefer was well out of range.
Reefer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Micks fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reefer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Reefer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Micks fails to land with a series of punches.
Micks misses with a low kick.
Reefer throws a combination that misses

and Micks moves into the clinch.
Micks is looking to break free of the clinch but Reefer has double underhooks.
Reefer misses with a knee to the head.
Reefer misses with an elbow strike.
Micks wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Reefer lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Micks wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reefer has him pressed against the cage.
The referee calls for Reefer to work.

It looks like Fred Micks has been cut.
Micks working hard to break the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Micks is trying to maintain a safe position but Reefer gets an underhook and turns Micks into the cage.

Reefer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Micks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

and Micks counters with a three punch combo that has Reefer backing up. Reefer nods at Micks to acknowledge the strikes.
Kid Reefer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reefer throws a looping overhand right but Micks ducks down to avoid it.

Reefer misses with a straight right.
Micks throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Reefer throws a series of punches but Micks avoids them all with ease.

Reefer instigates a clinch.
Reefer keeps control of Micks as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Reefer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Micks pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fred Micks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kid Reefer.
The fighters circling - Micks throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Micks closes the distance and clinches up with Reefer, looking for a takedown. Micks pushes Reefer against the cage but Reefer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Micks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Reefer shoots in for a double leg but Micks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A right handed body shot lands from Micks.
Fred Micks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Reefer goes for a takedown attempt but Micks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Donk. Reefer catches Micks right on the button with a cross.
A combination from Reefer does no damage.
Micks takes a swing at Reefer's ribcage but misses.
Micks misses with a double jab.
Reefer doesn't manage to clinch there - Micks circles away.
Reefer slips a jab from Micks.
A slow jab from Micks misses its intended target.

Reefer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Micks was covering up waiting for the punch and Reefer finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Reefer stands up out of Micks's guard for a moment - Micks manages to land a nice upkick.
Reefer postures up in Micks's guard and throws a big left but Micks blocks it.
Reefer looking to sit in guard and control but Micks gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kid Reefer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I would just about give that final round to Kid Reefer.
I've got Reefer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
