Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gonzo Rawlings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Young!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young misses with a few strikes there.

Rawlings shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rawlings was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Young is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Young really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Rawlings is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Young is surviving well by controlling Rawlings's body position as best he can.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Rawlings working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Young is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Young is looking to get to half guard.

Rawlings jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Young is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Young and Rawlings has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Young is trying to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Young is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rawlings asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Young manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Rawlings is looking to advance position but Young won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rawlings showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Young.

Rawlings gets the takedown into side control.
Young is not content to let Rawlings control the position.

Rawlings is working to tighten is grip on Young's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Young has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rawlings is really squeezing tight and eventually Young passes out! Rawlings breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
