Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rob Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Too Sexy. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Silva. That snapped Roy's head back.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Roy avoids the head kick by Silva.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva lands an overhand right.
Silva digs a good body shot into Roy's ribs.

Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Silva throws a head kick that Roy semi-blocks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva throws a head kick that misses.
Thiago Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Roy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Roy persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Roy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.

Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Roy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Silva tests Roy's chin there with a solid looking shot.

The fight stays on the outside here - Roy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Roy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Roy prevents Silva from escaping the position.
Roy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Roy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roy has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Silva!

Roy is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Silva is in real trouble.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Roy looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Silva taps!
