Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronald April (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jody mr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jody mr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mr tries to close the distance and clinch up but April swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A jab lands there for mr.
April keeps mr at a distance using the push kick.
mr throws a combination. April tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

mr fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with April, pushing him back against the cage.
April prevents a takedown attempt there.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for mr.
mr keeps control of April as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
mr cracks April with a nice body shot.
mr lands a body shot.
mr jumps guard but April stands there with mr around his waist. mr gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ronald April has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of jody mr.

April has dropped down and is working for a takedown. mr is trying to keep an underhook but April manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
mr goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

April breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

jody mr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

mr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

mr rushes April and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

mr stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
mr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. April just stands there and leans against the cage.

April keeps the fight on the outside.
April tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but mr swivels and escapes.

mr drops down looking for an ankle pick but April pulls his leg out and moves away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
April wants to pass the guard but mr is keeping the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

April rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but mr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
mr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. April tries to avoid it but mr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag April to the ground. April escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ronald April has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of jody mr.
A nice inside leg kick there by mr. That's going to slow April down.
mr throws a nice looking combination but April bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

April throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. mr was covering up waiting for the punch and April finishes the takedown easily into guard.

April decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and mr counters with a head kick. That will keep April thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
April walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. mr checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

April swats away the attempt to clinch by mr.

mr has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. April is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for mr.

April decides to take the fight back to the feet.

April is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but mr has just dragged him back down to the mat.

mr decides to stand back up. mr steps back and let's April get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
